Who We Serve
Our relationships with technology are complicated. I know mine is. As a social media user, gamer, and video watcher, I understand how these things can be used in positive and negative ways. And as someone who has studied technology wellness and addictions, I know methods that can help you understand your unique relationship with technology, what unconscious needs it might be fulfilling, and actionable steps you can take to reclaim control and enjoy technology more.
If you are a parent, I understand your concerns. As a father of two young children, I worry about how technology takes away our time together. I stress out about them being exposed to strangers, cyberbullying, and other scary things. But as a family therapist who has worked in crisis settings for over a decade, I know that difficult situations can get better. I’ve seen it happen with many families. And by collaboratively working together, I believe that we can come up with strategies that can reduce your child’s problematic technology use, provide you with the sense of relief you’ve been looking for, and bring your family closer together.
Our Approach
My approach to therapy is collaborative, relational, holistic, and solution focused. I want to learn about your family history, relationships, and culture. I want to listen to your concerns in your own words, whether they are related to technology or not. By doing this, my hope is that we can develop a plan that will work for your busy life and help you feel fulfilled when you use technology, and when you don’t.
